About us

The dentists doing the work should own the company.

Most dental groups are owned by outside investors. We built a different kind of group — one where the doctors keep the equity they create.

The problem

Solo owners build real value, then sell it for a fraction.

A great practice is worth a lot — but on its own, it's worth a multiple of one office's earnings, sold once, to one buyer. For a generation, that buyer has usually been private equity: outside capital that rolls up practices, extracts the upside, and moves on. The dentist who spent a career building the practice walks away with a slice of what they made.

We think that's backwards. The value in dentistry is created by dentists. The ownership should stay with them.

Our model

One doctor-owned company, many owners.

Pooled scale

Practices join one company, so a shared back office, purchasing power, and balance sheet replace going it alone.

Kept autonomy

Clinical decisions and hiring stay local. The group handles only what each owner chooses to hand off.

Shared upside

Owners hold equity in the whole group and share in its growth — not just the earnings of one chair.

What we believe

Principles we won't trade away.

Ownership stays with the doctors.

Equity belongs to the people practicing, not to outside capital passing through.

Transparency by default.

Terms are plain, valuations are independent, and every document you share is logged where you can see it.

Patients before paperwork.

We handle the back office so you spend more time in the chair, not less.

No surprises.

Nothing is shared until a mutual NDA is signed, and you set the pace the whole way through.

A note from the founders

We built the group we wished existed.

We are practicing dentists. We love the work, and we were tired of watching solo owners sell to outside money and walk away with a fraction of what they built. Dentist Owners keeps ownership in the hands of the doctors doing the dentistry. You decide what to hand off and what to keep. You share in the growth you help create. That is the whole idea.
